Generic Soda Can

I made a new model on the warehouse today: This time something that is more useful in others' models. Behold - a generic representation of the soda can.

It isn't anything fascinating or groundbreaking, but I do believe that it is a useful contribution to the warehouse.

Happy New Year!!

Another new year brings yet another new model. So, logically, I would make a model connecting the two! From the warehouse:

Whoa! I can't believe that it is already 2010! As you might know, I spent the previous year composing a demo reel, news blog, and flash-based website for the purpose of self promotion, limiting the amount of 3D Warehouse models that I have posted. I am proud to say that they are all up and running. I'll post links in the description. Oh, and there is both a model and rendering (SU Podium), so download this sucker and check it out. Anyway, I hope you have all had a fantastic year filled with high-polygon 3D models and other not as nerdy prospects. Welcome to 2010, my friends. ~Olay~

If you are here, chances are that you read the warehouse description of this model. Congratulations on finding me! 3D View:

Livescribe PULSE Smart Pen

I'm usually not one to endorse specific products in my 3D models, but when I found yet another pen that is worth recreating in 3D, I just couldn't resist choosing the Livescribe PULSE Smart Pen.

Go give it a whirl on the 3D Warehouse. You can download the detailed 3D model directly by clicking here. (No viruses, spyware, or adware)

Adios.

Hey there post-deprived blog! One new more model to showcase.

Description from the warehouse: "A generic representation of an art room. Contains a standard kiln, several types of art storage, sinks, marble tables, and plenty of sunlit windows. I thought about expanding it so that there was a exterior as well, but I wanted to make sure this one got posted before I had to return to life as usual. Nice to post a model for a change. ~Olay~"

I feel that that pretty much sums it up. I worked on this model a lot this year, and finally got together some time to finish it, which I must say I am slightly proud of myself for doing. I like to keep a subtle online presence at all times.

I am also up for any commercial projects necessary right now. Anyway, enough of the self-promotion; here's a 3D View as usual.

USB Speakers - Concept Model

"A thin and modern concept for a USB computer speaker, featuring tremendous sound quality and a clean, sharp look."

With the new site up and (kind-of) running, I thought that it would be a good idea to log each of my newest models on this blog, and perhaps give a bit of background information on that particular model. This particular one was inspired by the much more bulky and less good looking Dell A525.

Here's an interactive 3D view of the model from the Google 3D Warehouse. (Click to rotate, scroll to zoom!)

New Website, Up and Running!

In order to showcase my work in a more formidable fashion, I am working on a new site which can be viewed here.

It is currently undergoing construction, and should be completed within one month! It is not currently compatible with my browser of choice, Google Chrome, but works fine in both Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari. Give it a whirl, and post your feedback here!

And then Olay said, "let there be light!" and saw that it was good.

Well, guys...

I feel like I have been neglecting not only to manage my original site, but not posting very many models lately. There's good reason for this: I've been busy. Real busy.

But summer is on the verge of casting its lustrous rays upon us. To celebrate, I'm opening up a new blog. It won't just be about my personal work, but all things "design-ish."

If you are reading this and wondering who I am, please check out some of my 3D Warehouse models here.

It's good to be back.
